Origins

Summer, 1943:

My grandparents seal their marriage with a white gold circlet.

63 years of marriage, five children and a lifetime of memories changed it into something more than metal.

It had become the physical representation of an enduring journey together; the outward demonstration of their dedication to each other and everything they would go on to create in life.

When my grandmother passed, this ring was handed down to my mother.

Summer, 2023:

On a beautiful summer day, after hours of travel, it sprouted legs and disappeared somewhere between Minneapolis & Tampa Bay.

An incalculable loss for my mother.

Fall, 2023:

Months of searching cars, pants pockets and everything in between proved that it was gone forever.

Devastated, I decided I would make something for my mother to cherish and hold close, if even slightly.

Not a replacement. Something new to represent the age and spirit of the piece; the resurrection of an heirloom.

Winter, 2023:

A strong affinity for jewelry does not an expert make. I knew close to nothing, only an inkling.

Design, manufacture, stones, engineering, whatever—no clue.

Despite that, I trudged through, designing and crafting something I felt would honor my grandparents and be treasured into the future.

February 2025:

A year and a half of trial and error later, finally, something I was proud of.

More importantly, mom loved it.
